I have been drawing one way or another ever since I can remember. In 2010 I joined the Taranaki Sketchers. They are a wonderful supportive group and they are improving my sketching skills all the time.
I like to try all sorts of different media. This year I've been doing Art classes to learn more techniques as I don't feel like I know what I'm doing yet! I like to draw from life, but sometimes I take a photograph as a reference. My display here includes sketches and paintings. All of the sketches are done in the field, some of the paintings are done from sketches and some from photographs. I try and use photographs I've taken myself. I hope you enjoy my display, and it inspires you to pick up pen, paper and paint! |
